Pentagon said its intelligence programmes cost $27.9bn in fiscal year 2023.
The Pentagon press service said that the US Department of Defence’s intelligence programmes in the 2023 fiscal year cost the American budget $27.9bn, TASS reports
It is noted that on October 30th, the US Department of Defence presented the budget for the military intelligence programme for the 2023 fiscal year which totalled $27.9bn and is aimed at supporting the national defence strategy.
The Pentagon also underlined that the publication of the data does not ‘threaten secret operations’.
In March, the US Department of Defence requested $29.3bn for intelligence programmes in the 2024 fiscal year budget (begun October 1st). The Pentagon stressed that the requested budget is consistent with the Secretary of Defence’s strategic priorities.
