Parkhomchik comments on Union State joint investment projects

The investment projects of the Union State will enable Belarus to build new enterprises – as stated by Deputy Prime Minister Piotr Parkhomchik during his talk with ONT TV channel

The Deputy PM noted that against the background of today’s events, it is necessary to bring joint investment projects of Belarus and Russia to production capacity, “Despite the sanctions that the West has imposed on Belarus and Russia, a large number of investment projects are emerging in the Union State. To date, there are already more than twenty of them, and both Belarus and Russia are interested in them. This is important because it gives certain technological sovereignty to the enterprises of the two countries. Belarus and Russia need to unify their joint design capacities in order to get a result from this.”

Piotr Parkhomchik also said whether it is planned to build new enterprises in our country within the framework of these projects. According to him, the focus is made on Mogilevkhimvolokno, “Very intensive negotiations on processing are currently underway with Tatarstan. I think this is a grand project, envisaging big investments and boosting the development of the Mogilev Region. A lot of projects are planned in machine building. For example, BelAZ is implementing a project in Orsha to produce blanks using the hot ring rolling method. There is no such production in our country.”
