Over 64,000 hectares of grain sown daily in Belarus

According to Belarus’ Agriculture and Food Ministry, spring sowing is gaining momentum: on Monday, 56,510 hectares were sown across the country and, on Tuesday, the figure rose to 64,300

As of today, 73.3 percent of spring crops have been sown: 87 percent in the Brest Region, 75.7 percent in the Vitebsk Region, 59.3 percent in the Gomel Region, 85.8 percent in the Grodno Region, 75.9 percent in the Minsk Region, and 55.9 percent in the Mogilev Region. The pace of work has increased against last year’s: i.e. farmers of the Mogilev Region are sowing 3.39 percent more than the scheduled volumes daily.

A plan of spring grain and leguminous crops (with buckwheat and millet) sowing in Belarus has been fulfilled by 100.9 percent: 120.7 percent in the Vitebsk Region, 11.9 percent in the Gomel Region, 95.5 percent in the Brest Region, 95.3 percent in the Grodno Region, 94.9 percent in the Minsk Region, and 90.4 percent in the Mogilev Region.
