Orban: EU is Soros’ prisoner and cannot implement peaceful policy

Most Europeans want a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine, but the organisations of American billionaire George Soros are closely intertwined with European institutions, which is why Brussels cannot begin to pursue a policy that is aimed at peace – as stated by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban in his talk with Kossuth radio, RIA Novosti reports

“European leaders feel that European public opinion is more likely to support those parties that advocate peace, and less supportive of pro-war parties. A turn towards peace in Europe fails because Brussels is actually a prisoner of the George Soros network which is embedded in European institutions," Mr. Orban stated.

According to the Hungarian politician, people from the Soros empire, which he has been building for 30 years, can not only influence public opinion, but also have ‘such a strong negotiating position that they can take part of the money for their own needs from the Brussels treasury’. “They are present in the European Commission and in the European Parliament, and several prime ministers have been appointed by Soros,” he added.

Mr. Orban noted that Europeans will be able to show their assessment of the activities of ‘pro-war politicians’ in the elections to the European Parliament. The Hungarian authorities are constantly studying public opinion on important issues, and – according to the results of the latest survey – 86 percent of Hungarians voted against sending Western troops to Ukraine.

In May 2022, Mr. Orban said that the arms manufacturers, speculators and large Western economic circles who were making record profits, among them George Soros, were interested in the continuation of the conflict in Ukraine. He added that they wanted to gain access to Russian natural resources.

Previously, the Hungarian Prime Minister claimed that he had a feeling that the interests of the United States, not Europe, were behind some of Brussels' decisions, and that the elections to the European Parliament in the summer could easily change the composition of European leaders who no longer serve the interests of their voters.

According to Mr. Orban, the modern EU, with its pressure on Budapest, is a bad parody of the USSR, and the world ‘does not need such a Brussels’ that treats member countries like provinces and dictates them how to live. The EU leaders must respect the sovereignty of European nations.
