Opinion: increasing number of Western politicians view nuclear war as entertainment

People's Writer of Belarus Nikolai Cherginets has commented on the current political agenda and the risks that the aggressive rhetoric of a number of Western politicians is entailing for the whole world

“There is now an increasing number of persons in these countries who view even a nuclear war as some kind of entertainment,” Mr. Cherginets emphasised. “Let's recall the words of Liz Truss, who was Prime Minister of England for a month and a half. She said she was ready to push the button and start a nuclear war with Russia. Just think about it! A woman who can only be called the commander-in-chief of pots in the kitchen entered into power without being ready for that power, but she was eager to destroy millions of people for the sake of her whim. The UK occupies the area of 133,000 square kilometres; it is an island. Apparently, Brits do not understand that, in the event of a nuclear war, this island will disappear forever under the water.”
