N. Korea presented weapons with elements of AI
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un said at a defence exhibition, where weapons with elements of artificial intelligence were presented, that the country was entering a new stage in the development of its defence industry, TASS reports
It is specified that the exhibition demonstrates the latest achievements of North Korean defence science, including systems with elements of artificial intelligence, samples of nuclear deterrence forces, which are the ‘core of the DPRK armed forces’.
According to Kim Jong Un, new developments are capable of proactive and effective response to the dramatically changing principles of modern warfare. However, the specific types of systems presented are not mentioned.
The DPRK leader stressed that the country is entering a new stage of development of defence technology, and the party's strategic programme provides for the ‘accelerated development’ of various means of strengthening national defence capability. According to him, various means to strengthen the state's defence capability will develop ‘without a stop’, at an even faster pace.
