The publication writes that the deployment dates of these weapons are constantly adjusted depending on real-time developments.

The US Army said in a statement, “We continue to aggressively pursue the testing and fielding of long-range hypersonic weapons. Our goal is to field the system as soon as possible following a successful test. It is a top modernisation priority for the Army and for the Department of Defence.”

In June 2023, Secretary of the US Army Christine Wormuth said that the US is working very hard to test hypersonic weapons in order to be able to field the first battery by September 30th. The news agency’s material says that for the second year now the Pentagon has missed the date for deploying its first operational hypersonic weapon.
