Three more water releases from Fukushima-1 planned by March 2024

Yonhap news agency reported that Tokyo planned three more releases of treated water from the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant by March 2024, gazeta.ru writes

It is noted that the planned additional water releases will be carried out in accordance with the schedule. At the moment, 780 litres of water have been discharged from the station. It is also reported that the reactor operator did not encounter any technical problems during the release.

Earlier on September 1st, the media reported that the operator of the emergency Fukushima-1 nuclear power plant in Japan, Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO), completed the discharge of the first batch of purified water from the nuclear plant into the ocean. The volume of the first batch of water was about 7.8 thousand tonnes.
