There have reportedly been numerous ‘snail operations’ (deliberately slow traffic on the road) in France. Taxi drivers are striking and holding demonstrations to protest against the new medical transportation regulations.

According to media reports, several hundred taxis near Paris deliberately slowed down traffic on motorways and national roads. It is reported that a motorcade of taxi drivers from the suburbs is heading to the Transport Ministry in Paris. There are also traffic difficulties in Strasbourg, with severe disruption caused by protests in the southern cities of Marseille and Toulon.

Protests are also taking place in Toulouse, Grenoble, Avignon, Perpignan, Pau, Caen, Dijon, in the departments of Gironde and Haute Saône.
