Media: electricity may rise in price in Poland by 70% in 2024
The cost of electricity for private consumers in Poland could increase by 70 percent in 2024, TASS reports with reference to the Rzeczpospolita publication
“The increase in energy prices may amount to 70 percent compared to last year, provided that no protective mechanisms are introduced,” the source reads.
It is noted that the cost of electricity in Poland is about $100 per 1MW at the moment.
As the Minister of Climate and Environment, Anna Moskwa, stated earlier, the decision to freeze energy prices for next year will be made after the elections in October.
