Macron said France ready to discuss deployment of nuclear-armed aircraft in EU

French President Emmanuel Macron has said he is ready to discuss initiatives to deploy nuclear-armed aircraft in EU countries, TASS reports

Emmanuel Macron noted that in the coming weeks and months he would set the parameters for discussions on the deployment of nuclear-armed warplanes beyond France’s borders, in other EU countries.

Macron also stressed that three conditions must be met when discussing this possibility, “France will not pay for the security of others, the deployment will not undermine France’s own security, and the French President, who is also Supreme Commander-in-Chief, will always have the final say on the matter.”
