As noted by the Head of State, the Grodno Region Governor informed him while driving to the meeting that a lot had been done, “What is locally? How are the roads in agro-towns and the district centre? You knew that I would come, so holes have been filled up. Actually, the situation is not rosy, and this worries citizens. All drive cars, you know, and some families have even two or three cars. All are laying claims, and this is observed countrywide. Here, in the Grodno Region, the situation is more or less [good], but it is generally not the best in the country. Not long ago, the Deputy Prime Minister (overseeing the branch) was tasked to repair all roads during this year – whatever the cost. Believe me, it will cost more tomorrow. At present, oil, petroleum products, and even bitumen for asphalt are cheaper than ever.”

According to Aleksandr Lukashenko, there are complaints about public transport, “There are many related problems, and all of them are the responsibility of local authorities at the district and regional levels. Keep in mind that we have analysed the claims and complaints of people from the Grodno Region sent to the President Administration and addressed to the Head of State. Therefore, I have asked that – at today’s operational meeting – not only the Governor, but also his deputies and the deputy prime ministers present here now make reports, if necessary.”
