Lukashenko to Kalmykia Head: we’re brought up to build peacefully, not to break, and this makes us stronger

The President of Belarus has met today with the Head of the Republic of Kalmykia, Batu Khasikov, at the Palace of Independence

Welcoming the guest, Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that, despite the distance separating us, Belarus and Kalmykia have always been close in spirit, common history, and upbringing, “Our ancestors together defended the conquests of October, achieved the Great Victory in the fight against fascism, raised the destroyed country from the ruins, and performed labour feats. We are brought up to build peacefully, not to break, and this unites us, making us stronger in the face of any difficulties.”

The programme of the visit of the delegation of the Republic of Kalmykia also includes negotiations between Batu Khasikov and Belarus’ PM Roman Golovchenko, a visit to China-Belarus Great Stone Industrial Park, the Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ), the Minsk Automobile Works (MAZ) and the Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War.
