Lukashenko to Games of Future participants in Kazan: forward to the future, friends!

The solemn opening ceremony of the Games of the Future tournament at the Kazan Expo international exhibition centre was attended by the presidents of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and the Republic of Srpska of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Vladimir Putin, Aleksandr Lukashenko, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Emomali Rahmon, Sadyr Japarov, Milorad Dodik and heads of other countries’ delegations were among the guests of honour, as well as famous athletes.

At the opening ceremony, Russian President Vladimir Putin welcomed the pioneers of phygital sports – a completely new, innovative format that determined the title of the competitions, “These are truly the games of the future, combining the traditions and modernity, the harmony of physical perfection and intelligence, the unity of sports and technology, education and science. All this is necessary for a person to achieve comprehensive development and success in our era of rapid changes, in the multifaceted, multipolar, free and competitive world that is being formed before our eyes. It is natural that the idea of combining classical and cyber sports originated in Russia.”

The Russian leader also gave the floor to his colleagues and the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, was the first to take over the microphone.

“Forward to the future, friends!” Aleksandr Lukashenko wished in Belarusian.
