Lukashenko’s top five phrases of 2022 named
Belarus has compiled the top five phrases of Aleksandr Lukashenko in the outgoing year – as stated by the press secretary of the President of Belarus, Natalya Eismont, in her talk with the Belarus 1 TV channel, BelTA reports
"This year, after interviewing a huge number of people we work with – journalists, our political observers, media executives, the blogging and Telegram community – for the first time, we asked which of the President's speeches was the most striking, iconic and memorable for them. We asked to prepare the top ten, but none of those questioned managed to stay within that limit: all proposed at least 15 or 20 – since there were a lot of bright phrases. Those phrases were very different. In fact, the main phrases were named by almost all people [we asked], and our trends of this year are very clearly and distinctly traced through them,” Ms. Eismont noted.
The press secretary voiced the top 5 phrases of the Belarusian President in the outgoing year of 2022, and the undisputed leader of them is ‘Our strength is in unity, we have something to fight for, and we have something to lose’.
It is followed by ‘Peace is an absolute value for Belarusians, and we need to preserve it’.
The third phrase is one of the main ones, and the President mentioned it more than once: ‘The formula is simple: everyone should mind their own business’.
Two other popular phrases are the following: ‘It is impossible to spread Dollars on bread’, and ‘We will not let Europe freeze’. By the way, a major new firewood chopping project began with the latter.
