Lukashenko on EU authorities: they should be glad farmers haven’t demolished them with their tractors yet

Answering questions from journalists during today’s working trip to the Grodno Region, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko spoke on the protests of farmers in European countries

“Let these madmen be glad that their farmers on tractors haven’t demolished them yet. What do they need to do? They should buy cheap fuel and gasoline from Russia and Belarus instead of digging trenches. I told the Poles, Lithuanians and Latvians a thousand times: we are not going to attack you. May God help us settle the situation in Ukraine. Belarus is the most peaceful country in the world. We only want peace. There’s no need to reproach us by saying that we are going to fight against them [the West]. No one in Russia is going to fight against NATO either. But if they move in this direction, the response will be instantaneous. We will all stand up like the Brest Fortress,” said the Belarusian leader.
