Lukashenko: legal acts adopted by MPs to significantly strengthen Belarus’ national economy

An important part of the work of the National Assembly of the seventh convocation was the adoption of legislative decisions aimed at strengthening the economy – as stated by the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, during today’s meeting with deputies of the House of Representatives and members of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the outgoing convocation

“Parliamentarians – in close co-operation with relevant state bodies – promptly created the necessary legal conditions to ensure sustainable economic growth. A range of laws have been adopted, aimed at protecting national interests amid sanctions pressure, enabling us to ensure the smooth operation of enterprises and preserve workforces, while also contributing to strengthening Belarus’ economic security,” the Head of State underlined.

The President noted that the new edition of the Land Code and the Code on Architecture, Urban Planning and Construction are among the important laws in the field of regulating economic relations. Economic legislation has also undergone serious adjustments, with laws on employers’ associations and investment adopted.

“These and other legislative acts will significantly strengthen the national economy,” said Aleksandr Lukashenko.

The President emphasised that a strong social policy has always been the brand of the Belarusian state, “In recent years, a number of relevant decisions have been made in education, healthcare, social protection, culture, and youth policy.”
