Lukashenko congratulated Tharman Shanmugaratnam on winning presidential elections in Singapore

On behalf of the Belarusian people and himself, the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, congratulated Tharman Shanmugaratnam on his victory in the presidential elections in Singapore, BelTA reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service

The Head of State confirmed Belarus' great interest in expanding mutually beneficial contacts with Singapore – both in a bilateral format and on international platforms, based on the principles of equality, respect and trust.

"I am sure that our countries have all the necessary conditions to transform the multifaceted potential of relations into successful projects aimed at improving the well-being of citizens and stimulating economic growth," the President stressed. "I count on your support for the Belarusian-Singapore dialogue, which opens up new horizons of co-operation."

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Tharman Shanmugaratnam good health and fruitful activity for the benefit of Singapore residents.
