Lukashenko congratulated President of Vietnam on Independence Day

On behalf of all Belarusians and himself, the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, congratulated the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Vo Van Thuong, on the national holiday – Independence Day, the Belarusian leader’s press service reports

"Our countries enjoy a long and continuous history of close relations," the Head of State noted. “The Belarusian and Vietnamese peoples share universal values – such as freedom and sovereignty, and they independently choose the path of development. I hope that the traditionally friendly ties between Minsk and Hanoi will further strengthen, opening up new opportunities for expanding fruitful co-operation in the political and economic spheres."

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Vo Van Thuong health, optimism and success.
