Lukashenko: coalition of Western states deliberately prolonging Ukraine conflict

Taking into account the level of military danger in the region, the armed conflict on the territory of Ukraine deserves special attention, with Western states deliberately prolonging it – as stated by the President of Belarus, Chairman of the Belarusian People’s Congress Aleksandr Lukashenko, on the second day of the 7th Belarusian People’s Congress

The Head of State drew attention to the fact that Ukraine itself has been turned into a drug addict, kept on a short leash by promises of a new dose of additional weapons, including long-range weapons of destruction, and financial injections.

“In early April, during the meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Brussels, it was proposed to create a so-called ‘mission for Ukraine’ with a five-year military aid package of up to $100bn. In this way, Americans are shifting the financial burden to Europe. Contributions for these needs are planned to be divided in proportion to the GDP of the EU member states. This is the deal I was talking about yesterday. In other words, this is a payment for the ability to continue the confrontation with Russia, for active sabotage and terrorist activities both in Russian regions bordering Ukraine and in the depths of Russian territory,” the Belarusian leader stressed.
