Lukashenko: centuries-old history of unique Slavic culture sounds in the call signs of Slavianski Bazaar

The call signs of the Slavianski Bazaar Festival merged the sounds of favourite songs, the voices of truly folk artists, the applause of the most sincere, spiritual and open audience – as stated today by the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, at the opening ceremony of the 31st Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk International Festival of Arts

“They resonate with the centuries-old history of the unique Slavic culture, which enriched the world with extraordinary spirituality, depth and beauty,” noted the Head of State. “These sounds again, like all previous years, found a lively response in the hearts of thousands of people who came to Belarus, despite the distance and, unfortunately, certain obstacles. This is evidence that art is eternal, and the desire of peoples for friendship and peace overcomes and will overcome any obstacles. I will say more: in today’s crazy world that cancels culture and languages, rejects people on national and other grounds, our festival has become almost the only life-giving spring: a source of creation and new achievements!”
