Lukashenko: Belarus interested in building up fruitful co-operation with Algeria

The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has congratulated the President of the Algerian People's Democratic Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, on the national holiday: Revolution Day, the Belarusian leader’s press service reports

"This landmark day is a symbol of freedom, independence and the struggle of the Algerian people for the right to their own future," the congratulatory message reads.

As noted by the Head of State, Algeria and Belarus are countries with rich cultural traditions, strong economies, progressive technologies and science, similar values – and this creates a solid foundation for strengthening bilateral ties.

"Minsk is interested in building up fruitful co-operation with your state in such areas as food supplies and creation of joint ventures to produce agricultural machinery and vehicles," the President stressed. “The implementation of joint projects with access to the markets of other countries of the African continent can give impetus to the Belarusian-Algerian interaction."

Aleksandr Lukashenko expressed hope for an early meeting with Abdelmadjid Tebboune to discuss further plans for the development of bilateral relations. The Belarusian leader wished the Algerian President good health, success and great achievements, also wishing well-being and progress to the Algerian people.
