Lukashenko approved plan for preparation of draft legislative acts for 2024

The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, signed decree No. 380 that approves the plan for preparation of draft legislative acts for 2024, the Belarusian leader’s press service reports

The plan was formed based on the results of consideration of proposals from government agencies and other organisations. When selecting draft laws, the real need of society for the settlement of relevant relations and the priority of their legal regulation were taken into account. Particular attention was paid to compliance with the requirements of consistency, complexity and stability of legal regulation.

It is planned to prepare 23 draft laws, including five projects that make up the budget package, and five new projects: Healthcare Code, laws On Consumer Credit (Microloan), On Accreditation in National Accreditation System, On Independent Assessment and Certification of Qualifications, and On Real Estate Activity.

In addition, the plan envisages the preparation of thirteen projects aimed at bringing laws into line with Belarus’ legislative acts and international obligations, as well as improving the norms of laws, taking into account the practice of application.

According to the document, two decrees of the President of Belarus are planned to be developed – providing for the procedure for financing under the assignment of a monetary claim (factoring) and aimed at comprehensive improvement of the norms of decree No. 9 as of January 10th, 2005 On Approval of the Regulations on Implementation of Activities in the Gambling Business.

The plan also provides for the completion of work on the Environmental Code concept, initiated in accordance with the plan for 2023.
