Lukashenko about Alexandria: my heart belongs to this corner of Belarus, here is my place of strength

As noted by the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, at the Alexandria Gathers Friends festival on July 8th, he is drawing strength and energy from his small homeland

"You know my heart belongs to this corner of Belarus. This is my place of strength. This region and people who live here have taught me to love my country and my nation. I will never get tired of thanking my small homeland for the happy years of my childhood and for my youth spent here, for the energy this land is giving me now. I am ready to share it with all of you. Be always happy, my dear fellow countrymen!” the Head of State said.

Aleksandr Lukashenko thanked the festival’s organisers and all those who create a special atmosphere of friendship and warmth of communication in Alexandria, as well as all the guests, “If we behave like this – like true hosts, hospitably and reasonably – everywhere, on every metre of our Belarus, if we kindly welcome our relatives, friends and even those who have made a mistake but come to us with good intentions, then we will have peace in our country. A war will begin as soon as we start to crumble and break, as soon as we lift ourselves up to heaven and stay there, thinking that those standing below us are second-rate peoples. Therefore, take care of what we have, appreciate what we own – and we will always live in peace and harmony, not only with our neighbours (they are God-given, and we cannot choose them), but also with all the peoples of our planet. I want to wish you peace and good!”
