Lithuanian citizen: it’s very good that it will be possible to travel easily to your country all next year

Renata, a resident of Vilnius, visits Belarus at least once a month since she is undergoing treatment here. She says that even taking into account the cost of travel, renting an apartment and the fact that she, as a foreigner, is provided with paid medical services, it still turns out to be much cheaper.

Thanks to the visa-free procedure for crossing the border, Poles, Lithuanians, Latvians come to us to cure and recuperate, buy Belarusian goods, meet friends, relatives and get acquainted with the sights of the country. However, visa-free entry for them was envisaged until December 31st, and by the end of the year, our neighbours were worried whether they would be able to continue to come to Belarus without hindrance. Here is great news for them: in confirmation of the openness of our country, focus on good neighbourliness and strengthening interethnic ties, the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, supported the proposal of the Council of Ministers and the Foreign Ministry to extend the visa-free entry regime for the whole of 2023, which is in force with Lithuania, Latvia and Poland.
