Lavrov, Wang Yi discussed Ukrainian crisis
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Wang Yi, the Director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, member of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee, discussed the Ukrainian crisis – as stated by official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, TASS reports
According to her, the parties highly appreciated the current state of bilateral Russian-Chinese relations, which are developing dynamically, despite the dramatic changes in the world arena. “Naturally, the topic of the Ukrainian crisis was discussed. We are grateful to the Chinese side for the invariably balanced position on this issue,” Maria Zakharova said.
She stressed that Russia welcomes China’s desire to play a positive role in resolving the Ukrainian crisis.
