Lavrov: there are no unfriendly countries for Russia, there are states with unfriendly governments

Russia has no unfriendly countries and peoples, and states are included in the relevant list based on decisions made by their governments – as noted by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, RIA Novosti reports

At a press conference following the OSCE Ministerial Council meeting, Mr. Lavrov said, “We have no unfriendly countries and no unfriendly peoples. There are governments that make decisions on behalf of the state that we regard as unfriendly, and we put these governments on the appropriate list."

Speaking about the possibility of resolving the Ukrainian conflict, the Foreign Minister stressed that Russia still does not see signals from Kiev and ‘its masters’ about its readiness to move to a political process.
