Kubrin: it’s symbolic that there's fantastic decline across all areas in the Western countries, which distort WWII results

Deputy State Secretary, member of the Standing Committee of the Union State Aleksei Kubrin commented on the attempts of Western countries to distort the results of the Great Patriotic War. Answering journalists’ questions after the ceremony of laying a commemorative wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the Alexander Garden of the Kremlin, Aleksei Kubrin drew attention to the fact that the current situation in the world speaks of the importance and necessity of joint patriotic events.

According to him, the solidarity of Belarus and Russia within the framework of the Union State is greater than ever, in contrast to the situation in a number of neighbouring countries.

“It is very symbolic that in the Western countries, which are trying to distort and belittle the results of the Great Patriotic War, there is a fantastic decline across all areas. Under these conditions, the Union State is showing better results than ever both in the economy and in interaction. We have become very close on issues of migration policy, it was at this difficult time that we ratified an agreement on the mutual recognition of visas, in these conditions we have a concept of migration policy and a plan for implementing the concept. That is, co-operation in all areas,” said Aleksei Kubrin.

The Deputy State Secretary of the Union State drew attention to the fact that the trade turnover between the countries has never been so high, confirmed by the results and the meeting of the Union State Council of Ministers in late March, and by the Supreme State Council on April 6th. “Commodity turnover has reached $50bn – this has never happened before,” said Aleksei Kubrin.

“In a situation where the West is in a state close to the collapse of those alliances that were created to preserve and develop the potential of countries, but actually carry out a destructive policy, our unity demonstrates a higher level than ever,” he summed up.
