He noted, “I believe that one of the important results of our joint work will be the entry of the Islamic Republic of Iran into the ranks of full members of the SCO... We also expect the successful completion of the procedure for joining of our reliable partner, the Republic of Belarus, as a full member of the SCO.”

According to Sadyr Japarov, it is pleasant that the number of partner states in the SCO dialogue has recently grown, which are joined by Kuwait, Maldives, Myanmar, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain. The President of Kyrgyzstan urged, “It’s necessary to use the great potential of co-operation. The significant expansion of the geographical coverage of the SCO in recent years confirms the growing interest of the international community in our organisation. And this is quite understandable. In these days, when the world is experiencing an acute shortage of dialogue, mutual understanding and co-operation, the Shanghai Co-operation Organisation has become an inspiring example of a model of international relations based on mutual trust, mutual benefit, and an equal desire for common development.”

According to Sadyr Japarov, over the years of its activity, the SCO has achieved high successes and is becoming an increasingly influential structure, “I think my colleagues will agree that the SCO has a constructive co-operation agenda, which is becoming attractive for many countries in different regions of the world.”
