Japan to send $10m in humanitarian aid to Palestinians in Gaza Strip

The Japanese government plans to allocate $10m through international organisations as humanitarian aid to Palestinians from the Gaza Strip in connection with the escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict – as noted by Japan’s Foreign Minister Yoko Kamikawa at a press conference, TASS reports

The head of the department underlined that Japan will continue diplomatic efforts to provide assistance to innocent civilians and Palestinian refugees, as well as improve humanitarian access.

Kamikawa said Tokyo was monitoring the situation with grave concern. “We will work with all parties to quickly resolve the situation and improve the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip,” she said.
