Iran said presence of external players destabilises situation in the Middle East

The military presence of external players destabilises the situation in the Middle East and undermines security within the region – as noted by the official representative of Iran’s Foreign Ministry, Nasser Kanani Chafi, in response to a statement released earlier by the G7 foreign ministers, TASS reports

"Historical data and current events clearly demonstrate that the military presence of external players in the region was one of the most important factors destabilising the situation in the Middle East and posing a threat to its security," Nasser Kanani Chafi said. "At the same time, the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran has always been aimed at maintaining a stable and secure situation in the Middle East. Since the beginning of the current crisis in the Gaza Strip, Iran has been constantly making efforts to stop military actions.”

The Foreign Ministry’s representative also rejected the G7 accusations that Iran supports Hamas and Hezbollah, calling such statements ‘false and ridiculous’.
