IOC allows men to compete in artistic swimming at Paris Olympics

The International Olympic Committee has allowed men to participate in artistic swimming group competitions at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris – as reported by the press service of the International Swimming Federation, TASS informs

Each team of eight can have a maximum of two men.

The President of the International Swimming Federation, Hussein Al-Musallam, commenting on the decision of the IOC, noted that water sports are versatile and men have proven to be good artistic swimmers.

“I look forward to seeing this new dimension of artistic swimming being presented to the world in Paris. The men’s inclusion is a great achievement of everyone who has worked for many years to make it happen,” he said.
