“A detailed discussion took place regarding the forecast indicators and current status of Belarusian exports, focusing on key enterprises and major commodities. The meeting’s agenda covered various topics, including co-operation with Russian partners in the industrial sector, import substitution, and the readiness of Belarusian manufacturers to implement labelling for specific goods in the Russian market. Other topics included the sale and transportation of forestry products, interaction in the transport sector — such as the development of a high-speed railway project between Moscow and Minsk — and the establishment of locomotive production in Belarus. Additionally, there was discussion about joint initiatives in the aircraft industry, particularly the project to develop and mass-produce the twin-engine light multipurpose aircraft Osvey,” the embassy noted.
As part of the embassy’s efforts to remove unnecessary intermediary structures in the Russian consumer goods market, Mr. Rogozhnik emphasised the importance of enhancing the establishment of direct contracts between Belarusian producers and federal retail chains. The Agriculture and Food Ministry, along with regional executive committees, has received clear directives on this issue. Upcoming meetings will be organised with companies in the milk and meat processing sectors,” the diplomatic mission said.
“We thoroughly examined the involvement of Belarusian industrial companies in the implementation of the Russian national project: Infrastructure for Life. The Ambassador directed the Industry Ministry and public transport manufacturers to enhance their co-operation on this issue with the Russian Transport Ministry and regional consumers,” the embassy stated.
The meeting included representatives from the leadership of the republican government bodies, regional executive committees, state concerns, and affiliated enterprises and organisations.
