“In July, Yekaterinburg will be hosting the international industrial exhibition Innoprom, partnered by Belarus, and on the sidelines of this major international forum, we’re ready to sign a roadmap for co-operation with the Yaroslavl Region,” Aleksandr Rogozhnik said.

The Head of the Belarusian Industry Ministry noted the generally positive dynamics of bilateral trade, while stating that the volume of trade-economic interaction does not correspond to the potential of the regions. “Technological independence should become the basis of our liaisons, thanks to which we must move forward and develop our competencies,” he stressed.

Aleksandr Rogozhnik expressed the country’s Industry Ministry’s readiness to react as quickly as possible to any proposals of Yaroslavl colleagues on further intensification of collaboration. Among the topical issues discussed were the supply of electric buses, autonomous trolleybuses, and the organisation of joint production of trams.

The construction sector was also named as a promising direction. “Belarus boasts a positive experience of building schools in the Russian regions. We can offer similar projects for the Yaroslavl Region,” the Minister initiated.

The parties also discussed issues of co-operation in agriculture and mechanisms for financing the supply of Belarusian agricultural machinery to the Yaroslavl Region. To conduct detailed negotiations, Belarus’ Industry Minister invited the Yaroslavl delegation to visit Belagro-2023international specialised exhibition, which will be held on June 6th-11th at the exhibition centre of the Great Stone Industrial Park.

At the end of the talks, a joint meeting of the working group on co-operation between Belarus and the Yaroslavl Region was held with the participation of representatives of industrial enterprises.
