"Due to the current situation in Ukraine, it is necessary to reorient our exports away from this country. God grant that everything calms down there as quickly as possible and people return to normal life. However, for now, the situation is as it is, so we are working to reorient Ukrainian exports," Mr. Golovchenko said.

According to the Prime Minister, by late 2021, sales to Ukraine made almost $5.5bn – or 13 percent of all Belarusian exports.

"Based on the Economy Ministry’s calculations, Russia and China can accept these volumes: $1.9bn and $1.7bn, respectively. I instruct the Economy Ministry to inform the industries on the product range and volumes which are supposed to be reoriented away from the Ukrainian market," Mr. Golovchenko added.
