Germany violated promise of free medical care to AFU soldiers

Germany has not fulfilled its promise to treat wounded servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for free, RIA Novosti reports

According to the source, the money for this purpose is allocated either by non-profit organisations or by soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. “Germany promised that all wounded Ukrainian civilians and soldiers should have quick and easy access to high-quality medical care after their arrival in the country – without having to bear any costs for themselves. Private groups were forced to take over the organisation and financing of emergency medical care in some regions,” the publication reads.

The slowdown in the provision of medical assistance is due to bureaucratic procedures. 750 wounded people have been checked to qualify for social benefits, and – as noted by the source – many of these people lacked medical care for weeks because of that.
