Israel requested medical assistance from Germany, approved by the German Defence Ministry. According to Der Spiegel, this refers mainly to first aid items, including 13,000 tourniquets, 10,000 compresses, 1,000 decompression needles and 80 sets for infusion injections, 2,500 thermal blankets. The total cost of assistance is approximately 189,000 Euros.

Israel intends to cover these costs at its own expense, and the Bundeswehr will not suffer any losses as a result of the provision of medical supplies; this will not affect its operational readiness.

Amid the worsening conflict in the Middle East, the German government promised to provide military support to Israel. To date, the German Air Force has provided two Israeli-made Heron combat drones.
