French farmers preparing for blockade of Paris

Farmers dissatisfied with the policy of the French government will begin ‘siege’ of Paris at 2pm Paris time, RIA Novosti reports with reference to Le Figaro

According to the publication, the French capital will be blocked starting from 2pm on January 29^th after several trade unions called for a ‘siege’ of the city.

It is noted that the National Federation of Agricultural Trade Unions of France and the Jeunes Agriculteurs trade union plan to block seven highways leading to the city. As reported, there may be 1,500-2,500 tractors at the blockade sites around Paris.
