Finland to introduce complete entry ban for Russians

The Finnish authorities have decided that their country will not be a transit country for Russian citizens with Schengen visas. A national law is being prepared to restrict the entry of Russians into the country, RIA Novosti reports

The Head of the Finnish Foreign Ministry, Pekka Haavisto, noted that preparations have begun for a decision that will limit or completely prevent the flow of tourists from Russia.

Mr. Haavisto noted that the law will be prepared soon. Speaking at the UN General Assembly session in New York, the minister added that this issue will be submitted to the parliament.

Earlier, Finland called on the European Union to take steps towards a unified solution.
