Finland allocated €190m to Ukraine as part of 22nd military aid package

Helsinki has sent 190m Euros to Kiev as part of the 22nd package of military assistance, and the total amount of financial support provided by Finland to Ukraine has reached 1.8bn Euros so far, TASS reports

According to the Finnish Defence Ministry, the decision was made by the President of Finland, Sauli Niinisto, at the suggestion of the government. “Based on the estimates of the Finnish authorities, the cost of replacing weapons within the package will amount to about 190m Euros,” the source said.

Finnish Defence Minister Antti Heikkinen noted that new strategies need to be found at the national and broader levels to ensure long-term support for Ukraine. “We are currently preparing a long-term plan to support Ukraine," he added.
