Expert: increasing militarisation leads to growth in military spending worldwide

NATO says that the West may face the threat of direct full-scale war with Russia and China by 2030. Military analyst Igor Chibisov told the sb.by portal about how this military forecast is connected with the increase in the growth of annual military spending of NATO member states to 2.5 percent of GDP.

“The growth of militarisation and increase in military spending will be carried out not only in NATO members, but also in the Asia-Pacific region. This is a military alliance in the Asia-Pacific region: South Korea, Japan and Australia. Their defence budgets will increase significantly. The United States, although a superpower, will not be able to fight on two fronts with Russia in Europe (a special military operation in Ukraine) and China in the Asia-Pacific region. The Americans will wait for the outcome of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. The main thing is that Washington cannot force Beijing to enter into a military confrontation with Taiwan in this region.”
