Expert: Belarusians’ well-being is based on daily work and joint efforts

The West does not like and is afraid of Belarus, because the country shows ordinary foreigners how it can be different – as stated by Aleksei Avdonin, an analyst at the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Studies, in his talk with the Belarus 1 TV channel

According to the expert, Europe lived perfectly due to Russian cheap energy and thanks to the sale of its products to the Union State. “Meanwhile, everything has changed: fuel is expensive, and no one needs the goods. As a result, wide-scale unemployment and inflation are observed. Their neoliberal model envisages capture and enslavement, it means living at the expense of others. Belarusians are not guided by the colonial economic model, and they have never seized others’ assets, territories, resources, and people,” he said.

The well-being of Belarusians is based on daily work and joint efforts. Mr. Avdonin noted, “We are creating and becoming stronger, thereby guaranteeing independence and peace in our native land. Our independence is rooted in our work and efforts.”

The expert stressed that the West does not like and is afraid of Belarus, because the country shows ordinary foreigners how it can be different when the interests of the people – not of the oligarchic circles – come first.

“There is a war for the future of not only the Slavs, but also of all mankind. There may be either slavery, or statehood, independence, territorial integrity, and security. They want to bring us to our knees and destroy us again, but we – Belarusians – are ready to respond adequately,” Mr. Avdonin concluded.
