In his talk with the Belarus 1 TV channel, the Economy Minister said that Aleksandr Lukashenko’s key requirement was to ensure stable operation of all enterprises in Belarus, regardless of the form of ownership and capital. “If someone wants to leave our market and sell their share, then this company should continue its successful work in Belarus. This is the most important requirement of the Head of State,” he noted.

Mr. Chebotar added that the appropriate mechanisms are now being worked out for this purpose, “On the one hand, it is necessary to make a company get interested in continuing its work on the Belarusian market, and on the other hand – the country’s interests need to be taken into account. Those wishing to leave should pay 25 percent and get permission from their share. Meanwhile, while monitoring the implementation of these measures, certain nuances have arisen, and they need to be settled – so that certain points do not negatively affect primarily the interests of our citizens. We will promptly prepare the appropriate amendments to resolve these issues.”
