DPR Head on prospects of economic co-operation with Belarus
The Donetsk People’s Republic is keen to purchase Belarusian equipment – as noted by DPR Head Denis Pushilin after his today’s meeting with President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko
Speaking about the points of economic growth in relations between the parties, the DPR Head indicated that a grandiose construction is currently underway on the territory of the republic, so there is a need for construction, municipal and heavy-duty equipment. In addition, BELAZ machinery was actively used in the quarries of the region, which today needs technical maintenance and repair.
“Belarus is ready to provide technical support in this regard. This is a point of mutually beneficial co-operation. Another one is food products that have proven themselves popular in the DPR. The production in Belarus is of high quality. There is a stable demand for Belarusian goods. There is something to work on,” Denis Pushilin underlined.
Moreover, humanitarian interaction was also discussed at the meeting, and much has already been done in this regard. According to Denis Pushilin, it refers to recuperation and health improvement for Donbass children in Belarus. Special attention was paid to the interaction between young people.
“Peers understand each other much faster. Youngsters have something to tell in comparison: what does the pseudo-democracy that was imposed carry, what do alien values carry and what does it result in? How different is the situation and what is the role of an individual in history: when in 2014 someone escapes from their country, and a completely different example is when in 2020 Aleksandr Grigoryevich took everything into his own hands, and the situation developed differently for his native country,” the DPR Head asserted.
