Danilovich: the goal of Ukraine’s denazification must be achieved, otherwise in 10 years the conflict will repeat

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, as part of his visit to the High-Level Week of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, is going to visit US leader Joe Biden at the White House to hold talks with him. Rector of the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of Belarus Vyacheslav Danilovich explained in his talk with ONT TV channel why Zelenskyy’s next conversations will lead nowhere.

According to Vyacheslav Danilovich, denazification and demilitarisation of Ukraine must be achieved.

“I think Joe Biden will receive further instructions from Zelenskyy,” he said. “It is quite obvious that the Ukrainian president does not act in his own interests, but on the instructions of the United States. In general, the West is interested in starting some negotiations. But what is the danger here? Indeed, there is no alternative to peace talks on Ukraine. But at the same time, the goal of denazification and demilitarisation of Ukraine must be achieved, otherwise 5-10 years will pass and this conflict will resume with renewed vigour. In a certain sense, the West needs such a break so that they can regroup again. Western elites who actively support Ukraine will take a huge blow if Kiev loses. They will have to explain where these multi-billion dollar expenditures went, the money invested in maintaining the combat capability of Ukraine and why it ended in a fiasco. I think that there will be a certain message about the implementation of peace negotiations, but it is clear that the West will strive to defend and maintain its influence on Ukrainian territory so as not to completely lose its authority in the eyes of its own population and in the international arena.”
