The Cuban leader assured that Cuba, as an observer state, will continue to actively participate in meetings and events of the Eurasian Economic Union. “The development of co-operation between the Eurasian Economic Union and Cuba is key in creating new value chains and ensuring technology transfer in order to reorient to other regions and markets,” he said.

Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez also stated, “I would like to reaffirm Cuba's intentions to deepen trade and investment co-operation in the unoccupied niches of the Eurasian market, which is the first step in expanding economic, trade, financial and partnership relations with the EAEU countries. In the same way, I confirm that the development of relations with all the states of the Eurasian Economic Union is a priority for Cuba.”

Addressing the presidents of the EAEU countries, the Cuban leader said, “I would like to assure you convincingly that you can always count on Cuba and its modest but reliable contribution as an observer member to strengthen unity, complementarity and respect for diversity for the development and well-being of our peoples and countries.”
