CSTO Secretariat and CSTO PA discuss interaction
Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation Imangali Tasmagambetov has met with Executive Secretary of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly Sergei Pospelov – as reported on the CSTO official website
This is the first meeting of the newly appointed CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov with the Executive Secretary of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly. The parties discussed joint activities for 2023 and the interaction of the CSTO Secretariat with the CSTO PA Secretariat this year in accordance with the previously approved plan. Sergei Pospelov informed Imangali Tasmagambetov about the progress regarding the implementation of the programme of activities of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly for the rapprochement and harmonisation of the national legislation of the CSTO member states for 2021-2025.
An agreement was reached that the plans of the CSTO Secretariat and the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly for 2023 and 2024 would be co-ordinated.
The parties stressed the importance of co-operation in the parliamentary direction and ongoing work on the ratification of documents adopted in the CSTO format. They also discussed increasing the efficiency of interaction between the secretariats of the CSTO and the CSTO PA.
