China's first solar-tidal photovoltaic power plant connected to grid
The first intelligent photovoltaic power plant in China – that uses both solar and tidal power to generate electricity – was connected to the power grid in the Chinese province of Zhejiang, Xinhua reports
The power plant in Wugen Township in the city of Wenling, has a total installed capacity of 100 megawatts.
The connection of a solar-tidal photovoltaic power plant to the electric grid recognises China's new achievements in the integrated use of marine energy resources, as well as in the development of new energy sources and construction of related facilities.
