Belorusneft to increase exploration drilling by 65% in 2023

This year, the Belorusneft enterprise plans to increase the volume of prospecting and exploratory drilling to 165 percent against last year’s figures – as reported by BelTA

In late 2022, Belorusneft increased the scope of 3D field works. On the Rechitskaya area alone, this figure was 465sq.km while, in 2021-2022, a seismic survey was completed in the amount of 440sq.km on Saltanovskaya area. There are also prospects for discovering new deposits at the Ostashkovichskoye oil field as is indicated by the results of drilling in recent years. Plans for this year include 390sq.km of 3D seismic survey.

“Seismic prospectors will also work at the Maisko-Makeevskoye oil field. The plan for this year is 220sq.km. The prospects for 2025 have already been outlined: 500sq.km of seismic exploration in the Yuzhno-Nadvinskaya area,” Belorusneft’s press service noted.
