Belarusian culture appreciated in Estonia

Diplomats of the Embassy of Belarus in Estonia have taken part in an event dedicated to the Belarusian Written Language Day held in the city of Tartu – as informed by the Belarusian diplomatic mission

The festivity was organised by the Tartu Belarusian Society – Spadki – and featured performances by the ensembles of the Belarusian song of the Belarusian societies Spadki, Syabry (Narva), Les (Tallinn), BEZ (Johvi), Yalinka (Maardu) and the Russian Native Tunes ensemble.

As stressed by the diplomatic mission, the event undoubtedly contributed to preservation of the national and cultural identity of Belarusians abroad, as well as expansion and development of ties between Belarusian and Russian communities in Estonia.

The Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Estonia established diplomatic relations on April 6th, 1992.
